Acrobatics Gymnastics

Acrobatic Gymnastics is a sport, which combines the power and athletic prowess of Tumbling and Artistic Gymnastics with the grace, artistry and presentation of Dance. Athletes compete in Pairs, Trios or Fours. In the first round of competition, each group presents two choreographed routines: The Balance Exercise demonstrates strength, agility and flexibility. Its beautiful pyramids and static holds require immense concentration and cooperation among the partners. The Dynamic Exercise uses rhythmic tumbling, and “flight” elements. Daring throws, pitches, catches, and tumbling sequences punctuate the choreography. In Finals, a third routine is presented, which combines elements of both the Balance and Dynamic exercises.

Acrobatic Gymnastics is one of 5 disciplines under the auspices of USA Gymnastics, the official governing body for the sport. USA Gymnastics is responsible for the training and development of the teams and athletes who represent the US in the Olympics, World Championships and World Cup competition.

Gymnastics provides athletic training for young boys and prepares them for any sport they may play including soccer, diving, football, baseball, and track. Of course, a long and successful gymnastics career is great, too!

Acrobatic Gymnastics (also known as "Acro") integrates the grace and beauty of dance, the balance and strength exhibited in gymnastics, with the magnificence of teamwork not shared with any other sport in the USA Gymnastic's family.

Groups of two to four athletes reach new heights in gymnastics by performing dynamic, flight and balance skills, seemingly defying laws of physics and human movement. Acrobatic Gymnastics challenges the athletes' physical ability, while instilling in him or her the profound and lifelong values of trust and teamwork.

TRAMPOLINE CLASSES (competitive, and non-competitive)

We have an aboveground trampoline with a rebounding bed that can allow students to learn the fundamentals of body awareness and train for somersaults and twisting skills. Techniques learned on trampoline are directly applicable to ANY aerial or gymnastic pursuit, whether it is simply strengthening core muscles or developing the timing and spotting skills necessary to catch your double on the flying trapeze.

Class Format

Classes are available as group sessions of 60 or 90 minutes with up to four students per class. Class time may be shortened with fewer participants as appropriate for number of participants and physical ability.

What You'll Do in Class

In addition to trampoline practice time, classes include an active warm up with stretching, strength conditioning, and flexibility training. Tips and strategies for continuing your training at home will also be provided. Regardless of your background, you'll be able to learn at your own pace and interest level.

Beginners will focus on developing core strength, establishing proper body alignment, and increasing proprioceptive and kinesthetic awareness (knowing what's going on while flying through the air). These skills are applicable not only to advancement on the trampoline, but are also requisites for any aerial sport.

More advanced students will progress to more difficult skills, including multiple twisting somersaults and stringing together combinations of skills.

How to Prepare for Class

No jewelry, sunglasses, hats, or street clothes are worn on the trampoline. Only proper gym attire (snug fitting shirt and shorts or tights) will be permitted. Students must wear socks or special gym slippers.

Tuition Rate :

Break Dance

Break-dancing is a blend of martial arts, street dance, and gymnastics.  In this class you will build your strength, stamina, and flexibility, as you learn how to get up and get down while training to toprock and floorrock. You will also practice visually impressive moves, including power moves and poses, and eventually put all of these techniques together to develop your style and  create your own combination of moves. The progressive nature of this class makes it great for all experience levels!

Wed. 6:00-7:00 pm / Sat.1:30-2:30

Boot camp

Boot camp workouts are efficient because you work your entire body-- heart and muscles--by going from one exercise to another with no rest. The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises...the difference lies in the intensity. In boot camp, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy.
